ABOUT COACH MELINDA
Coach Melinda Wang Beckstead has over 10 years of coaching experience, passing on the love of figure skating to the next generation. She works with all ages and levels with a focus on jumps, spins, choreography and edge work.

SKATING AND TRAINING BACKGROUND
​
Melinda received the 2010 Winter Olympic Solidarity Scholarship from the International Olympic Committee and competed in ladies’ single at the World Championships, Four Continents Championships, Junior Worlds, Junior Grand Prix, and Chinese Taipei Nationals. She is the 2004 National Showcase Grand Champion, US Regional medalist, US Sectional competitor, and competed in ice dancing at the Junior National level. She trained and worked with Olympic and World level coaches and choreographers, received extensive ballet training, and trained with 6-year NFL Veteran for off-ice conditioning. She is a double gold medalist in Moves in the Field and Freestyle, passed the Quickstep and Argentine Tango from the Gold Dance and passed the Intermediate Free Dance.
